After earning her bachelor's degree in 1989, she was accepted into the prestigious University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, graduating with her DMD in May 1993.
What followed was twelve years of honing her skills in other practices — but Dr. Mejido always had a bigger vision. In 2003, she took a defining step: she opened her own practice, on her own terms, while raising her daughter as a single mother.
