Stephany has been immersed in the world of dentistry for as long as she can remember. Growing up in dental offices throughout Miami, she developed a deep appreciation for patient care while watching her mother, an experienced dental office manager with more than 20 years in the field. It was no surprise that one of Stephany's first professional experiences was working as a Front Desk Administrator in a dental practice.
Stephany earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida International University and is currently preparing to begin her Master's program. Her educational background, combined with her experience in dental administration, allows her to connect with patients and help create a welcoming, comfortable experience from the moment they walk through the door.
When Stephany joined A1 Care, she immediately felt at home.
"I can honestly say that since joining A1 Care, I have never felt more welcomed and supported. It brings me so much joy to know that we are providing the very best care for our patients. From the moment I stepped into this office, I knew this incredible team of dedicated professionals was where I belonged."

With over a decade of experience as a Front Desk Administrator in the dental field, I've dedicated my career to creating a welcoming, efficient, and supportive environment for both patients and staff. My journey into dentistry began in a way that was both unexpected and life-changing. Shortly after moving to the U.S. from Spain, a family friend offered me a position at their dental practice. That opportunity opened the door to an industry I quickly fell in love with.
Soon after, I began working at Dr. Mejido's office - and from the very first day I stepped through those doors, I knew I had found my place. The energy, the meaningful patient interactions, and the sense of purpose made me feel at home. What started as a job quickly became a passion.
Since then, I've built a strong foundation in dental office operations - from scheduling and insurance coordination to creating a positive experience for every patient. I take pride in being the friendly face that helps each visit run smoothly. I truly love what I do and am proud to be part of a profession that helps people smile with confidence.

Even though I started dentistry later in life, I felt very connected to it from the moment I began. I graduated as a Dental Assistant in 2012 and my background in jewelry making helped me develop a better manual technique within dentistry. After working as a Dental Assistant for 7 years, God sent me multiple signs that led me to A1 Care. From the very first time I visited this office and met Dr. Mejido, I was fascinated by her wonderful staff and overall feeling of teamwork looming in the air. I knew from the moment I stepped foot here that this was my place. Every day I come in and strive to do my best so that our patients can feel as at home as I do here.

Since I was a child, I grew up attached to this profession because my father was a dentist. I felt like it was my destiny. When I finished high school, I decided to follow his footsteps. After five years of dental school in Cuba, in 2016 I graduated as a dentist. That same year, I moved to the United States and my entire life changed. Once here, I got a certified as a dental assistant. After joining this office, I have grown personally and professionally. I am well versed in what it is to be a dental assistant, and I am in charge of the lab work as well. My goal is to revalidate my degree in this country because dentistry is my passion and this is all I want to do in my life!

I’m Dori. I’m a 26-year-old dentist from Venezuela. After moving to the USA in 2021, I faced several challenges that led me to step away from dentistry. However, I inevitably found my way back to the work that brings me the most joy. I enjoy supporting patients and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m passionate about helping people and am eager to continue growing and learning in the dental field as I build my career along this extraordinary team.

At the age of 10, I had an accident that fractured my teeth. That was my first experience at the dentist and the doctor inspired me! At 22, I finished dental school in Cuba and 14 years later, I left Cuba and came to the United States, where I met Dr. Mejido. I am so proud to be a part of the A1 Care team where dedication and professionalism help us make a difference in people’s lives every single day.

Even before I started studying for my dental degree in Cuba, I had the passion and drive to help people improve their dental health. These are qualities I inherited from my father; he is also a dentist. In fact, I was born on the day he graduated from dental school. I became a dentist in 1985 and worked at a clinic for 12 years before arriving in Miami in 1997, where I began working as a dental assistant before becoming a dental hygienist in 2001. I love working in this practice because we have an exceptional team, there are always opportunities to grow and patient care is our top priority.

After graduating from dental school in 1997 in Cuba, I practiced general dentistry for about 12 years before moving to Spain in 2009. While in Spain, I worked as a dental assistant before revalidating my degree as a dentist. In 2015, I came to the United States and became a dental hygienist. I have always worked in the dental field and believe that helping people is my life’s calling. In 2020, I joined the A1 Care family and immediately knew this was the place for me. They pride themselves on taking the very best care of their patients, as do I. I am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful team!

My name is Leo Concepcion, and I am proud to be part of the A1 Care team as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant. I was born and raised in Cuba, where I began my journey in dentistry. At 18 years old, I started dental school at the University of Medical Sciences of Havana and graduated as a General Dentist in 2019.
After graduation, I moved to Spain, where I earned my Dental Assistant certification and worked in dental offices in Madrid and Barcelona for two years. This experience allowed me to gain valuable clinical knowledge and broaden my understanding of different approaches to patient care and dentistry.
In 2021, I moved to the United States and joined A1 Care, where I had the opportunity to learn from an outstanding team and become an integral part of the practice. In 2024, I earned my Dental Hygienist license and have since been providing preventive and periodontal care while helping patients achieve healthier smiles and better oral health.
I am passionate about continuing to grow professionally, delivering high-quality patient care, and advancing my education as I work toward becoming a licensed dentist in the United States.
